10:00 am - IGP Compliance

The IGP presents business owners with new, more complex stormwater regulations. These regulations have proven to have a substantial impact on small businesses. Noncompliant businesses could face costly fines and potential lawsuits from environmental groups and citizen attorneys. In conjunction with many local cities and chambers, Tory R. Walker Engineering offers free resources and expert guidance on topics such as proper enrollment and maintaining permit coverage, creating site maps, how to develop and implement a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP), and proper stormwater sampling, testing, and submission of results.

Tory Walker is a registered Professional Engineer, a Certified Floodplain Manager, and a widely recognized stormwater quality expert, with over 30 years’ experience in water resources planning and engineering. Tory has conducted and overseen hundreds of hydrologic studies, including the preparation of regional drainage master plans and hydrologic model calibrations. He has analyzed and designed numerous flood and stormwater facilities and structures, including in-stream stabilization structures, embankments, channels, culverts, and basins.
